The Daily Star have been keeping our punters busy today here in the Football Transfer Tavern and this time it is Chelsea fans who are keen to hear the rumours.
Jose Mourinho is eyeing up a move for Seamus Coleman next summer according to the publication and as our landlord notes whilst he pours a pint, the Chelsea boss is a well-known admirer of the Everton right back.
Coleman was excellent last season and has picked up right where he left off this term and by the end of the season, we think he could well be worth a far bit more than the £25 million Mourinho is currently considering offering.
Some of our punters make the point that Chelsea already have a rather consistent right back in the form of Branislav Ivanovic.
That said, we think that the eventual plan for the Serbian could be to switch to the heart of the defence, meaning Mourinho would have to invest in another right back should he want t keep Cesar Azpilicueta on the opposing flank.
Chelsea fans. Is £25 million a fair price for Coleman? What weaknesses, if any, would you look to improve in the transfer window? Let us know your thoughts below.
