Chelsea have deal in place to sign £38m striker

FalcaoChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have had a fair bit to moan about this season and they’re continuing in that fashion today, burning the ears of our barmaid as they sink into their pub lunches.

An intriguing document has caught their eye though, as Metro have published a document from Football Leaks which shows the full details of Radamel Falcao’s loan spell at Stamford Bridge which, thus far, has been thoroughly disappointing.

Falcao has scored just once for Chelsea since arriving in the summer, on the back of a similarly unsuccessful loan spell with Manchester United, and it’s shown that the Blues didn’t pay a loan fee to Monaco.

Chelsea do possess an option to purchase Falcao outright in the summer, which seems highly unlikely, and if they do explore that option they will have to pay the mammoth figure of £38.3m to land the striker.

Falcao was once regarded as one of the deadliest strikers in the world but a knee ligament injury in 2014 has derailed his career, with our landlord firmly of the belief that the Colombian forward will never reach the heights he once achieved.

Chelsea fans, have you made any signings worse than Falcao? Let us know in the comments below!
