Young players are vitally important to the foundations of Chelsea’s squad, though it isn’t always plain sailing for them – much to the annoyance of the fans in the Transfer Tavern…
It would appear as though the Blues are making life difficult for another young blue too, wth journalist Sven Claes reporting that midfielder Charly Musonda has been given an ultimate this summer – to sign a new deal or leave the club permanently.

This an unfortunate situation for Chelsea, given how well Musonda has done in recent years. During his first year with Real Betis he really impressed, though he has disappointed over the last year or so.
This report will certainly concern fans, as it is yet another example of the Blues’ risking everything regarding a young talent. Dominic Solanke is another young player that has yet to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge, and he looks likely to depart the club this summer.
The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Musonda won’t face a similar fate, as they desperately want him to make it at the club…
