Chelsea in pole position over Manchester United to sign striker

mourinho0000Chelsea supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are reading the news from the Daily Star, and are frankly not sure what to make of the news they have just read!

The publication suggests that Chelsea are leading Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal in the race to sign 15-year-old Dutch striker Thomas Buitink, who is impressing at his current club Vitesse Arnhem.

The young striker has scored an impressive 100 goals during his time in the youth ranks at Vitesse, and it is no surprise to see a plethora of top Premier League clubs keep tabs on the youngster.

Now, our regular Blues fans here in the Tavern don’t have a clue what to make of this news, as they all admit they’ve never heard of the kid! However, if all these top clubs are in for him, then he must be pretty decent!

Our landlord here in the Tavern feels it is going to take more than a 15-year-old wonderkid to get Mourinho and his side out of the dire form they are in, and feel they seriously need to strengthen in the upcoming January transfer window.

Chelsea fans….. What do you make of this news? Is this the type of player you need to be looking to sign? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
