Chelsea issue rallying cry to 26-year-old, mouthwatering offer could be made this summer

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for Eden Hazard to stay at the club this summer, with the Belgian undoubtedly an invaluable member of the Blues’ first team…

It is now time for the club to back him as such, though, and it appears as though Roman Abramovich and co are planning on doing just that. According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea have issued a rally cry to Hazard: stay at the club this summer and become the focal point of the Chelsea first team. What’s more, it is said that a new contract offer of around £300,000-per-week could be coming this summer – as Chelsea look to make the future of the Belgian certain.

Certainly, it seems as though the Blues are pulling out all the stops to ensure that Hazard stays at Chelsea long-term. A new contract offer is, of course, absolutely vital – and given his fine form this year, he is certainly deserving of a pretty huge pay rise.

The promise to build the team around Hazard could well prove to be important too, as Hazard is clearly the sort of player that you can do that with. He is an enigmatic, dependable figure – and in an era where Chelsea’s key men are often changing, a bit of consistency is exactly what Chelsea need.

Alongside Pedro this season, the Belgian has been in excellent form – always offering a threat going forward and improving his defensive work rate ten-fold.

Hazard has scored 15 goals this season, whilst he has also made 5 assists along the way.
