The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are already starting to think about who their club might sign in the summer…
The Blues are flying high in the Premier League, and for many in the pub, John Terry has one hand on the trophy already.
Thoughts in the Tavern, then, are already veering towards how the Blues might look to retain the title – with Antonio Conte undoubtedly needing to sign a few top quality players as he looks to improve his side even more.
It would appear as though Conte is keen to get an early start, too, with the Daily Mail reporting that Chelsea have joined the race for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud.
An offensive midfielder, Dahoud has made 14 Bundesliga starts this season, scoring once and assisting twice in the process.
Interestingly, Chelsea could hold a bargaining chip in negotiations – with reports from Sport Bild suggesting that Monchengladbach are keen on Blues midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Given that Chelsea have sent Andreas Christensen on loan to the club with great success, perhaps a deal for Loftus-Cheek could be included to give Chelsea an edge.
