According to talkSPORT, Petr Cech’s agent, Mithat Halis, has caused a stir by revealing that Besiktas could be a big possibility for his client as they are supposedly leading the chase to land him.
Earlier on in the season the 32-year-old insisted that his heart was set on fighting for his place back at Stamford Bridge but admitted that if he is unable to knock Courtois off his perch before January, then he will have no other option but to look elsewhere.
And it sadly looks as though the time has come for him to draw up and review his options of a potential future as he seeks to find first team football.
Halis said: “We have not held talks yet. However, Chelsea have recently made an agreement with Besiktas. Chelsea have similar deals with Vitesse and other clubs.
“If Cech does become available Besiktas would become a potential destination.”
The Czech Republic international has been a figurehead between the sticks for the past decade and it will feel strange for fans not to have him around.
