Chelsea legend to be relegated to second string side

terryThere has been some very unfamiliar occurrences at Chelsea football club over recent days, with club captain and long time first-team stalwart, John Terry, missing out on both a Champions league opener and a crunch tie with London rivals Arsenal in the space of a matter of days.

Over the past few years various legends who made up the spine of the Chelsea team that gave Mourinho so much success in his first tenure have all gradually lost importance, and left the club.

The likes of Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and most recently Petr Cech have all closed out stellar careers at Chelsea.

For a long time it has looked like John Terry had superior staying power and would out live those legends for many years, but recent developments suggest the ex-England international could be suffering a fall from grace at Stamford Bridge.

The Mirror are reporting that John Terry might have to get used to a new role at the club and is set to start in the League Cup against Walsall.
