Chelsea look to offload 29-year-old midfielder to Spanish juggernauts

The Chelsea supporters here in the Transfer Tavern were in joyful spirits yesterday evening following a deserved 2-1 victory over West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.

Eden Hazard’s spot kick was cancelled out by James Collins in the second half but a Diego Costa strike five minutes from time saw the Blues hand Antonio Conte a win in his first game in charge.

The omission of midfielder Cesc Fabregas from the starting line-up caused quite a stir here in the Tavern among the Blues supporters, with question marks being raised over his future at the club.

Our landlord has spotted an article in the Daily Star via The Telegraph which claims that the Spaniard has been offered to giants Real Madrid, who will now make a decision on whether or not to pursue the 29-year-old.

One Chelsea fan is deeply concerned at this news as he puffs on his e-cigarette in the beer garden, stating that Fabregas departing would leave the club pretty short in midfield.

Chelsea fans, would you be happy to see the former Arsenal man leave? Who should replace him in the middle of the park? Let us know in the comments below!!!
