Chelsea looking to add more depth as Blues consider move for 27-year-old, Conte is a big fan

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted that the Blues look to be edging closer to a few summer deals, but they are concerned that their side is not moving fast enough…

Whilst the defence and attack are both in desperate need of additions, many fans have pointed towards the lack of attacking midfield depth – with just Eden Hazard, Pedro and Willian currently available –  as a real problem for Antonio Conte.

Fortunately for the fans in the Transfer Tavern, it appears as though Antonio Conte is looking to keep all bases covered this summer. According to the Mirror, Chelsea are considering a move for Sevilla winger Vitolo, with Antonio Conte said to be a real admirer of the winger.

Though unlikely to be a starter ahead of any of Chelsea’s current trio, Vitolo would certainly represent a decent option for the Blues, having enjoyed a decent spell with the Spanish outfit. He made 25 starts in La Liga last season, scoring and assisting 6 times each over the course of the campaign.

Able to play across the midfield, Vitolo would certainly be a decent option for the Blues – able to fill in wherever necessary under Antonio Conte. With the increased fixture congestion next season given Chelsea’s Champions League return, that will certainly be important.

Whether the deal happens remains to be seen, but the Chelsea fans in the pub are liking the sound of it.
