Chelsea man lined up for quick-fire transfer exit ahead of summer window

Chelsea fans here in the Tavern will be desperate for their side to challenge for the Premier League title next season, as they put up a poor title defence in the current campaign.

Antonio Conte’s future continues to be surrounded with doubt as the Blues failed to meet expectations this season. Indeed, Chelsea will need to hold onto some of their star players in the summer transfer window, as they could find themselves in all sorts of trouble if they fail to do so. Although, things aren’t looking good for the Blues, as according to Sky Sports, Juventus want to re-sign Alvaro Morata this summer.

The Italian giants are likely to be in the market for a striker this summer, with Mario Mandzukic expected to leave the club. And, it looks as if Juventus have identified their ideal replacement, as it’s understood that they want to re-sign Alvaro Morata this summer.

Interestingly, Morata previously said that he felt there was “too much stress” in London and that “I don’t see myself living here for very long”. And, in the same interview, Morata expressed his regret at having to leave Juventus back in 2016 and said: “Italy for a Spaniard is the best place to live in”.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Chelsea fans will be hoping that the Spaniard decides to stay at Stamford Bridge as he has been prolific at times, but it looks as if an approach from Juventus may be too hard to turn down. And, having enjoyed his time at Juventus and Italy as a whole, it looks as if the Blues may be saying goodbye to Morata this summer.
