Chelsea man reportedly ‘destined’ to leave the club, European side are said to be keen

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for the Diego Costa saga to come to an end…

The Spaniard has been frozen out of the proceedings at Stamford Bridge by Antonio Conte, with the completion of a deal for Alvaro Morata likely to spell the end of his time in London.

A move away from Chelsea is far from a done deal, though, with no move agreed as of yet, but according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Spaniard could have a new suitor.

The publication reports that AC Milan are struggling to find a solution to their attacking woes, and given the availability of Costa, they could look to move for the Spaniard this summer. Significantly, other options are said to be on the table for the Italian side, but with the Spaniard said to be ‘destined’ to leave Chelsea – a move to Milan could be a genuine possibility.

The Diego Costa saga has really put a mark on an otherwise impressive summer for Chelsea, and most of the fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait to see him gone. With the recent capture of Alvaro Morata, most fans see no reason to hold on to Costa.

Landlord’s Verdict

AC Milan could offer a good home for Diego Costa, given that the Italian side have invested heavily this summer. Costa is a player that thrives under pressure and wants to win, and the conditions at the San Siro are – at present – perfect for that.

Still, with a host of options, AC Milan could look elsewhere, particularly if Chelsea look to recoup the money they spent on the Spaniard.

One thing appears certain though, Diego Costa is to leave Chelsea this summer – and with just over a month until the window shuts, Chelsea need to find a solution quickly.

Our landlord is convinced that Costa would still be an upgrade on Morata, but given the fragile relationship between Conte and the 28-year-old, perhaps a move away is best.
