Chelsea supporting punters here inside the Football Transfer Tavern aren’t too sure what to make of the news coming in from ESPN – with the publication claiming that Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda is set to depart Stamford Bridge on loan in January, amid interest from Man United and Manchester City.
The 19-year-old’s name has been said a lot around the Transfer Tavern recently, with an array of top-flight clubs keen on luring the highly-rated teenager to their club in January.
Our resident Chelsea fans enjoying an early Christmas dinner here in the Transfer Tavern are deliberating this news, with them all agreeing that Musonda clearly has an abundance of talent, as he showcased in the UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup, so are sceptical about the Blues offloading him in the next transfer window.
Our landlord here in the Tavern has to agree with the words of the Blues faithful, and feels it could be a huge mistake if Musonda was let go on a permanent deal, but argues a loan deal might actually be exactly what the promising starlet needs, to help him develop and mature!
Musonda is already a Belgium under-21 international, and undoubtedly looks set to become a star in the game as he progresses and gets older.
So…. Chelsea fans….. What do you make of this news? Would you be gutted to see Musonda leave? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
