There is yet another blow for the Premier League duo of Chelsea and Manchester United as the Daily Mail seem to think that Robert Lewandowski is set to sign for Bayern Munich.
We had thought that there was at least a chance for the Polish forward to come to England, with Pep Guardiola apparently not being as keen on the player as his predecessor Jupp Heynckes.
However, in news that seriously hands a blow to the likes of Jose Mourinho and David Moyes, the forward is set to pen a five-year deal with the Bavarian giants, and it is a deal that has cost the Bundesliga leaders absolutely nothing.
Chelsea are in dire need of a forward and are looking at several options with Jose Mourinho being a big fan of Lewandowski, who destroyed his Real Madrid side last season in BVB’s route to the Champions League Final.
Manchester United meanwhile are trying to hold onto not only Robin van Persie but also Wayne Rooney who is entering the final year of his contract in the summer.
Question marks have arisen over RVP’s future at the club with rumours of unhappiness at the management style brought by David Moyes.
Lewandowski would have represented a huge coup for either club and would have become a firm tavern favourite.
Who will both Chelsea and Manchester United turn to now? Let us know your thoughts below.
