The Daily Star certainly has punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern looking up with keen interest.
This is after claiming that Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos has made a decision on his future – but is remaining coy until after the World Cup.
The German international midfielder has been tracked by a host of clubs, but Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid were the three front runners for the star.
We think that it is pretty certain that he has decided to join one of those three.
One of our punters moves over from the pool table to remind us that the odds are in Real Madrid’s favour, but Kroos would not confirm anything, noting: “I’ve made a decision and can’t say.
“I read things. It’s not hard to find out. But I’m saying there is nothing done.
“First I want to play the World Cup and when finished my decision will be known.
“I’ll say it myself. Before then there is nothing. There’s one week of the World Cup left and then we’ll know more.”
As our landlord points out, those words are likely to do very little in the way of dampening the speculation over his future and we cannot wait to hear the truth from the man himself.
Punters. Do Chelsea really need Kroos with a midfield cast that already features Fabregas, Oscar, Matic and Ramires? Let us know your thoughts below.
