Today’s Daily Star reports that Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal will be left looking for other options after Galatasaray confirmed that Holland international Wesley Sneijder would not be leaving the club during the upcoming January transfer window.
Sneijder only made made the switch to the Turkish champions last January in a £8.5 million deal from Inter Milan, but speculation has grown about his future as reports indicate that he is not happy with life in Turkey.
Dutch coach Louis van Gaal recently told him to move to the Premier League in order to further his World Cup chances.
However Galatasaray president Unal Aysal has insisted that the former Real Madrid midfielder would not be leaving the club in the New Year as recently appointed boss Roberto Mancini looks to assess his new squad ahead of the business end of the campaign.
Aysal stated: “We don’t have a decision or a desire to sell Sneijder. Mancini has not had enough time to find out about the squad. He doesn’t want us to transfer somebody.
“Sneijder has a temporary problem, I don’t care about it. He is going to regain his form with us.”
The link with a possible move to Stamford Bridge comes from his strong relationship with Jose Mourinho who worked with the midfield man as Inter secured that famous treble in 2010.
While former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was a huge admirer and Arsene Wenger is thought to respect the classy Dutch international, who has made 23 apperances for Gala.
