Chelsea midfielder has ‘secret’ agreement to leave club and join Serie A outfit

CuadradoChelsea fans are enjoying a game of pool after a couple of pints here in the Transfer Tavern after they seemingly got their season back on track last week, with a win in both the Champions league and over rivals Arsenal in the Premier League – however after reading the Express have realised they are set to lose flop Juan Cuadrado.

The winger joined Chelsea from Fiorentina in January for £26.1m, following the departure of Andre Schurrle to Wolfsburg. However he made just 12 appearances, with only four starts for the Champions as they went on to win the Premier League title.

But despite flopping at Chelsea he has started the season in fantastic form for Juventus, after making a season long loan move in the summer. Now the Italian Champions are already considering signing Cuadrado on a permanent basis next summer.

It is believed that there is no specific buy clause in the loan contract but that they have a ‘secret’ agreement with the London club to sign the 27-year-old for £16m next summer.

Chelsea will be losing a fair sum of money on the winger that they only had for six months, but they would use the deal as a softener as they prepare to go back in for Paul Pogba in upcoming transfer windows.

The Colombian International has settled much quicker at Juventus than he did in England and has made an impressive start to the campaign, which included helping his new side beat Manchester City in the Champions League last week.
