Chelsea once again spent plenty of money in the summer as Antonio Conte looked to add some strength in depth to his squad with the Blues returning to the Champions League fold this year.
The Stamford Bridge club are always good for a big money deal during transfer windows, and they have also managed to turn a tidy profit on some players over the last few years too.
Our landlord though thinks that the club might well have dropped the ball with a few players they have let go, and one of those players who they perhaps should have kept hold of is current Liverpool star Mo Salah.
Signed from Basle for the Blues, he failed to really impress in the chances he was given, albeit he was often used as a substitute or given chances in minor games in terms of what competition he was picked in.
However, he would go on to be hugely impressive for Roma and this forced Liverpool into paying over £30m for his services this summer, with the club splashing out one someone the Premier League had already seen, eyebrows were raised.
Chelsea though appear to have missed the boat with Salah and it could be argued they shipped him off to early. His current form for Liverpool suggests he is a top talent and his pace and finishing ability have already been on show this year in abundance.
What is Chelsea’s loss though, is firmly looking like Liverpool’s gain.
