Chelsea move closer to Isco signing

Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been left excited by news reported by Club Call that the Blues have lined up a deal that will see Malaga midfielder Isco arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Malaga topped their group in the Champions League and the brilliant Isco was the star man for the La Liga side which has seen the 20-year-old attract glances from Manchester City and Liverpool however Chelsea are now thought to be favourites for his signature.

With the Daily Mail reporting recently that long serving midfielder Frank Lampard is set to depart the club in the summer, Rafael Benitez’s side are certainly on the lookout for a new exciting body in midfield and Isco would be a superb addition to their quartet of attacking options.

The La Liga outfit have been banned from next year’s Champions League because of their well documented monetary issues and given their financial struggles, they will have to sell the midfielder in the summer.

Is it understood that loaning promising youngster Lucas Piazon to Malaga for the rest of the season has opened up the possibility of Isco moving in the opposite direction during the summer.
