Chelsea are one-step closer to making a major summer signing under Antonio Conte, with the Blues presenting an offer to a firm target of theirs.
Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb state Chelsea have offered a three-year contract to Roma ace Miralim Pjanic, who has been identified as a target to shore-up the Blues vulnerable midfield ranks.
With poor performances in the middle of the park providing a major impact in the downfall of Chelsea this season, Conte is eyeing a host of big-names to improve his options- although he will still make signings in other areas of the field.
Pjanic looks destined to become one of Conte’s recruits for his Chelsea revolution, as the club have already matched his £30m release-clause with his current Serie A employers.
Conte, who will lead Italy into this summer’s European Championships, knows Serie A football very well and it’s likely the Italian league will be raided by the 46-year-old boss as part of his summer overhaul of the Blues.
