The Mirror are providing some rather worrying information for Chelsea fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
Blues fans saw their side climb to the summit of the Premier League table on Saturday after a win at Hull City’s KC Stadium.
It was a win that taught us two things – one was that Fernando Torres can actually score back to back away goals in the league – and also the fact that Eden Hazard is a star.
The Belgian attacker was sensational again, as was Oscar, and it further reinforced the fact that Juan Mata will struggle to find a place in the Chelsea side.
That has lead to our landlord noting that the Blues’ number ten is considering a move to Bayern Munich this summer after deciding that he does not have a future at Stamford Bridge.
When even David Luiz is coming into the side and Mata is not, it speaks volumes about how the manager sees the Spanish international.
Mata is a Chelsea fan favourite and we would admit that in the tavern, we would be very sorry to see him go. Not only that, but the fact that should an injury occur, or Oscar stop performing, Mata would be a perfect replacement.
The player himself just wants to play and is increasingly concerned over his world cup chances.
Will Mata actually leave in the summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
