Chelsea prepare to offload big-name in January

FalcaoChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are reacting to news that a big-name from their squad is set to be offloaded in January.

The Sun On Sunday state that Chelsea are exploring an option to see Radamel Falcao to return to Monaco in January, as they intend to cut-short the Colombian’s loan spell in West London.

Falcao, on his second loan in the Premier League after an unsuccessful stint with Manchester United, has once again failed to impress in England with just one goal this season.

Chelsea have spent over £2m on wages with the South American this season and have not seen a decent enough return, with the club now seeking to get the 29-year-old off their books.

With Chelsea languishing in 16th position in the Premier League table, the Blues January activity is set to be crucial in their attempts to turn their season around and secure a Champions League spot- a daunting task, considering they already sit 13 points behind the top-four.
