Chelsea preparing raid upon Champions League side for quality trio

florenzi.jpgChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are well aware of their need for changes this summer and the reports emerging seem positive- though not for one Champions League side.

TransferMarketWeb have stated Roma full-back Alessandro Florenzi is the latest man to emerge on Chelsea’s short-list, joining team-mates Radja Nainggolan and Kostas Manolas as targets for the Blues.

Italy boss Antonio Conte is widely expected to take charge at Stamford Bridge next season and he seems set on raiding one of his former rival clubs in the Serie A, with Roma targeted for as many as three recruits.

With Chelsea’s midfield needing to be bolstered, Nainggolan seems a perfect fit and Kostas Manolas has been identified as a potential replacement for veteran John Terry, who’s set to leave upon the expiration of his contract this summer.

Right-back Florenzi could also improve Chelsea’s defensive line and if the Blues were to sign all three Roma men, it could cost them as much as £78m.
