Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah is reportedly reluctant to pen a new deal at Stamford Bridge amid doubts over regular first-team football, according to The Independent.
One of our elderly Chelsea supporters has been flicking through the latest news regarding the Blues on his smartphone and it seems that the academy prospect is unwilling to sign a new deal with the club.
The 22-year-old was in fine form for England U21s during the European Championships during the summer but he is now keen to hold down a regular spot in a Premier League outfit – something which doesn’t seem likely at Chelsea.
With the Blues expecting a glut of arrivals in the coming weeks it appears that the youngster’s first-team chances will once again be hampered and that could force the player into a move.
The report, as per The Independent, seems to suggest that the ball is firmly in Chelsea’s court and if they can persuade Chalobah that he will play more frequently, a new deal could still on the horizon.
One Chelsea fan is sat tucking into one of the landlord’s all-day breakfast butties and he thinks that the club should be playing the younger lads a bit for often, stating that Chalobah deserves a chance in the side.
