The Daily Mail have a rather interesting story for us here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that former Inter Milan forward Samuel Eto’o has now made a plea for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to sign him.
The striker was only linked with the Blues yesterday, and now it seems that he could well be on his way to Stamford Bridge to once again link up with Mourinho.
After winning the treble under his former manager, it is understandable that he wants to experience more of that success and he noted that: “There is only one Jose Mourinho. I have played under a lot of great coaches – but there is no other character in the game like Jose.
“He is one of the best coaches in the world – and we had a lot of success together at Inter Milan. I would like to have the chance to play under him again – because it is never boring when Jose is around.
“Of course Chelsea are a great team – and when we have all the offers on the table then I will discuss with my agent and see what my next step is.”
There has also been interest emerging from Serie A once more for the player and his agent noted that: “It’d be a dream for him to wear the jersey of a glorious club like Napoli. However, so far they have not contacted us.”
Will Chelsea save Eto’o from his Russian hangover? Let us know your thoughts below.
