Our Chelsea supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are getting into the festive spirit, with the club on a sensational run of form, and it of course, being near Christmas!
And, news filtering in to the Tavern from the Telegraph has certainly got the Blues fans inside the the pub interested.
The publication is claiming that Shanghai SIPG have tabled a whopping £60 million offer to sign Chelsea midfielder Oscar, with Shanghai’s SIPG’s boss, Andre Villas-Boas, keen on the star.
The punters by the jukebox here in the pub simply cannot believe this news, and think that the reported sum of money is astronomical, with them all agreeing that Oscar is not worth that amount of money at all.
The report suggests that Chelsea will not be able to refuse an offer of that magnitude, and our landlord here in the Tavern is hardly surprised.
The landlord thinks that the Blues would be fools to turn down that sort of money, especially for a player who hardly starts for Antonio Conte’s team!
Meanwhile, on the pitch, the Blues have been flying and currently sit at the summit of the Premier League table ahead of a key clash with David Moyes’ Sunderland on Wednesday evening.
Chelsea fans….. What do you make of this news? Surely you’d take this for Oscar? Let us know below!
