The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted with the fine form that Victor Moses has shown this season…
Playing out of his national position as a right wing-back, the Nigerian has stepped into the role with ease – and has subsequently become a regular under Antonio Conte.
He has consistently played this season, which is a testament to not only Conte’s faith in him but also his own personal resilience, but it would appear as though there is a chance that he could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
According to AOI Football, Moses has pulled out of Nigeria’s squad for a pair of friendlies – with the winger instead focusing on his rehabilitation from an injury. The report notes that the aim is for him to recover by the time Chelsea’s next game comes around, however given that he has been forced out of action over the next few weeks – the likelihood of him playing seemingly appears uncertain.
Indeed, this has come as a pretty significant blow to the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, all of whom have been delighted with Moses’ form this season. Arguably Chelsea’s Player of the Year, our landlord is sure that Conte will do all he can to get Moses involved.
If he isn’t involved for the Blues, though, who should replace him? Let us know!
