The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted with this…
There was one glaring absentee from Chelsea’s impressive 3-1 victory at Man City last weekend – Nemanja Matic.
The Serbian midfielder had been a near constant under Antonio Conte this season, but an injury suffered in the lead-up to the game forced Conte’s hand – and he instead was forced into using Cesc Fabregas in the middle of the park.
Now, in the lead-up to Chelsea’s seemingly neverending run of fixtures – Antonio Conte has revealed in his pre-game press conference, via the official Chelsea Twitter, that the Serbian is back in training and fully available for this weekend’s clash.

The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are absolutely delighted with this. But they definitely think that it poses a real problem for Antonio Conte.
Fabregas performed fantastically in his absence, and in truth – he deserves to start again. Given that Kante is, at this point, practically undroppable – the decision is not an easy one.
One of the Chelsea fans leaning by the bar thinks that Fabregas would be a better option, given that West Brom are likely to sit back and defend.
Our landlord thinks that Fabregas would be the better option, but he is expecting Conte to opt for the more defensive Nemanja Matic against West Brom.
