Chelsea refuse to accept defeat in chase of exceptional addition

Pep GuardiolaChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have got all their fingers and toes crossed as they pray that a phenomenal addition will be made by their side in the summer.

The Daily Star says that Chelsea are fighting against the odds and refuse to give up in their quest to appoint Pep Guardiola as their next permanent manager.

Guardiola is set for a Premier League job at the end of the season when he calls time at Bayern Munich, with Manchester City being stated to have all but clinched a deal to land the phenomenal 44-year-old boss.

However, Chelsea still believe they are in the running for Guardiola’s signature and have been encouraged by the fact that the Catalan boss is continuing to listen to their overtures.

Chelsea currently have Guus Hiddink in temporary charge of the Blues, following the axe of Jose Mourinho last year, and are searching for the ideal manager to overhaul their underperforming squad and lead the Blues to more success and stability.

Guardiola would be the perfect man in the eyes of many but our landlord believes there is no chance in hell that he would move to West London, due to his clashes with former Blues boss Mourinho when the pair were at Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.

Chelsea fans, can you still land Guardiola? Let us know in the comments below!
