Chelsea reluctant to let highly-coveted forward leave this month

RemyChelsea have frustrated a number of fans in the Transfer Tavern, who they access of hoarding talent, with a few of the lads playing pool having their cues confiscated by our bar staff after going at the Blues supporters.

It’s all kicked off after reports from The Sun state that Chelsea are reluctant to let Loic Remy go, leaving Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace infuriated.

The Blues are set for wholesale changes this month to shake up their underperforming squad and with Radamel Falcao also set for an exit, Chelsea do not want to lose Remy before they draft in a replacement.

Remy has struggled to replicate the form he previously showed at QPR and on-loan at Newcastle United but that hasn’t put off potential suitors, with the struggling Toon and relegation rivals Aston Villa both eying a loan move for the French international.

High-flying Crystal Palace are also keen on snatching the talented striker but any move appears to be dead in the water for the time being, as Chelsea want to hold onto their asset for now.

That’s left fans in the bar extremely frustrated as they aren’t convinced Remy will get game time in the second-half of the season, so he would be better off elsewhere in their eyes.

Chelsea fans, should you cut your losses on Remy? Let us know in the comments below!
