Tammy Abraham is a popular figure in the Transfer Tavern, with many supporters touting him for big things…
Last season was a very good one for the young Englishman, bursting onto the scene in his first year as a professional, bagging 23 league goals for Championship outfit Bristol City.
His fine form earned him a lot of praise in the Transfer Tavern, and a move up into the Premier League was expected this year.
Indeed, it looks like a Premier League move is exactly what he will be getting too, with The Mirror reporting that Swansea City have won the race to sign the Englishman on a one-year loan deal.
The striker has been sought after by a host of clubs over the last few weeks, with Newcastle previously expected to seal the deal, but now it looks like it is Swansea City that will benefit from his fine goalscoring record. You have to assume that Paul Clement, who has ties with Chelsea from a previous stint at the club, had something to do with their success in securing the deal.
It was always going to be important to get this deal done quickly ahead of the new season, with Abraham’s future a big talking point in the Transfer Tavern. A full pre-season will hopefully allow him to impress and force his way into Clement’s plans.
A strong season could be the making of Abraham, with many in the pub desperate for him to make a name for himself at Chelsea, With a lethal goalscoring pedigree, so far he is doing everything right. Our landlord is expecting him to make a huge impact in the Premier League.
