Chelsea reportedly eyeing move for lethal 29-goal striker, talks expected within the ‘next few days’

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern think that it is going to take a lot for the club to replace Diego Costa this summer, should he depart…

Costa has, of course, been in fine form for much of the season – with his goals often proving to be the difference for Antonio Conte. However, if Tutto Mercato Web are to be believed, Antonio Conte may have his eye on someone that has an even better record than the Spaniard.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Blues are considering a move for Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been on fire in the Bundesliga as of late. Significantly, it is noted that negotiations are expected to take place within the ‘next few days’, leaving the fans in the Transfer Tavern on cloud 9.

Aubameyang has, of course, quickly risen to prominence in recent years for his lethal ability in front of goal, having bagged an astonishing 29 goals in the Bundesliga this season.

An electric forward with incredible technical ability, the Gabon international is undoubtedly one of Europe’s most deadly forwards – and he would likely make a real impact in the Premier League were he to make the move.

Costa has, of course, only scored 20 domestic goals this year, which puts the Borussia Dortmund striker far ahead of the Spaniard.
