Chelsea reportedly looking to quickly tie up £300,000-per-week deal this summer

Eden Hazard is one of Chelsea’s most important players, and the Blues in the Transfer Tavern want him to stay for the foreseeable future…

Clearly, Antonio Conte feels the same way about the Belgian, and a report from the Evening Standard is likely to delight both the management and fans equally. According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea are looking to tie Eden Hazard down to a new long-term £300,000-per-week deal at Stamford Bridge, and significantly, it is noted that his recent injury could work in the Blues’ favour.

Real Madrid are said to be looking elsewhere at present as a result of the injury, leaving the door open for Chelsea to tie down the Belgian, much to the delight of the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern.

Indeed, for many in the pub, the signing of Eden Hazard could well be the most important of the summer for the Blues. He is one of Europe’s best players, and last season he was a real talisman for Chelsea. Unusually, it was N’Golo Kante that received the plaudits during a historic campaign for the Blues, with Hazard remaining decidedly under-the-radar. This seemed to work in his favour, though, with the Belgian returning to his best form under Antonio Conte.

Though a contract may do little to keep him at the club long-term, the most important thing for Chelsea is the present, and a new contract will likely see of any interest for this summer at least.

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely delighted…
