Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are excited to hear their club is linked with Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus after the Daily Star said they had joined Arsenal and Manchester City in the race to land the German.
The flamboyant forward has a buy-out clause of a mere £19.6 million and this bargain fee for a player of his calibre has led to a whole host of European giants all preparing to activate this clause in his contract.
It is believed the Blues are as keen as anyone else to sign him as they seek a third world class star to join Eden Hazard and Oscar in an attacking front three behind lone frontman Diego Costa.
This Blues’ interest now means this transfer saga could go all the way to January 31st with English-bases sides going head-to-head with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the race to acquire Reus’ services.
The press in Germany have all but conceded that he is certainly on his way after he turned down an improved deal at Signal Iduna Park.
