Chelsea fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are feeling pretty happy, after hearing from the Guardian that the Blues sent scouts to watch Southampton duo Nathaniel Clyne and Morgan Schneiderlin in action against Everton.
The pair have been heavily linked with a move away from the south coast club this summer, and speculation of a move away has been further fuelled with this revelation – with Arsenal and Manchester United also monitoring their situation.
Both Clyne and Schneiderlin have been superb for Ronald Koeman’s Southampton side this season, in what has been an excellent campaign for the Saints.
Both players have proved to be consistent performers throughout the whole of the Premier League season, something Blues boss Jose Mourinho would undoubtedly like to instil into his Chelsea team.
A plethora of Chelsea fans sitting by the billiards table in the Football Transfer Tavern admit they would love to see the club sign the duo, with many believing their performances this season have merited them a move to a top four club.
