Chelsea set replace Filipe Luis with another Brazilian?

MourinhoSome good and bad news coming into the Transfer Tavern today for the rather tipsy Chelsea faithful.

Brazilian full-back Filipe Luis has left Stamford Bridge. Now, the Daily Mail claims that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is considering making an offer for Galatasaray defender Alex Telles, also Brazilian, as a like for like replacement.

With an enquiry apparently lodged already, the 22-year-old is seen as a long-term option and is also likely to be a cheaper alternative to Augsburg full-back Abdul Baba Rahman, whom Chelsea are rumoured to be looking into.

The Daily Mail expect the left-back currently plying his trade in Turkey, to cost around £8 million.

The landlord here in the Transfer Tavern spoke up about this price tag: “I’m not too sure how good he is to be honest, he is a bit unknown, but £8 million in today’s market for a young Brazilian, its a no brainer for me!”

Chelsea fans….. What do you reckon? Do you know much about Alex Telles? Why not just keep Luis? What do you think? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
