There are changing times ahead at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea boss Antonio Conte looks to add to his title-winning team this summer.
The Blues fans lining the bar here in the pub are confident that more success is just around the corner after such a good campaign last time out and we’re expecting Chelsea to add heavily to their ranks in the coming months to maintain their current domination in England.
But moving forward, it’s clear that there are certain players on the books at Stamford Bridge that aren’t good enough now to see Chelsea’s good form continue in England.
And one man that is set to face the boot from the Bridge this summer is former Crystal Palace striker Loic Remy, who just hasn’t made a big enough impact in London since his move.
The French striker, who picks up a hefty £80,000-a-week, is set to be deemed surplus to requirements this summer according to the Sun, with Conte keen to take his team forward rather than backwards.
He scored his last goal in December 2015 and his form has shown no signs of picking up as the season grew older last season. Whilst Diego Costa has been touted with a move away this summer, that hasn’t done much to help Remy’s first-team cause in the pub and a move away is now looking even more likely.
