Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t enjoying the festive season, as they sit at the bar with glum faces that don’t fit the Christmas jumpers that their other halves have forced them to wear.
You have to feel for them as they’ve seen their side go from Premier League champions to relegation contenders but it seems their hierarchy has a plan in action to save face.
CalcioNews24 state that Chelsea are likely to swoop for Southampton’s Italian forward Graziano Pelle next month, in a bid to bolster a forward line that has been woeful this season.
Last season’s striking hero Diego Costa has failed to impress, whilst Radamel Falcao has been awful and Loic Remy has also been shy of the mark.
30-year-old Pelle could be a quick fix for the Blues, who desperately need changes to propel them away from the foot of the Premier League table- with Chelsea staggeringly sat 16th heading into the final weekend before Christmas, just a single point above the drop-zone.
Chelsea fans, is Pelle a good target? Let us know in the comments below!
