Punters in the Football Transfer Tavern love a transfer scrap for one of the brightest young talents in Europe and according to reports, another could be on the way with Chelsea ready to challenge Manchester City for Malaga wonderkid Isco.
An article pinned to the noticeboard by Chelsea fans in the Metro states that the Blues are keen to add another attacker to their ranks in January and are ready to pay Malaga the £17 million that represents his buy-out clause.
The 20-year-old Spaniard, who is rumoured to be keen on leaving Malaga, is expected to be the next star in the Spanish national team.
It was just yesterday that Manchester City were linked with a move for the ex-Valencia star but the defending European champions appear to have also joined the transfer race.
However, both clubs could be left disappointed after Malaga made the last 16 of the Champions League meaning they are less inclined to sell the starlet in the foreseeable future. Reports from Spain claim that Malaga are desperate to hang onto their young starlet and are prepared to offer a massive new contract that contains a release clause closer to £30 million which is likely to put off any potential suitors.
