Chelsea set to hold major talks with £200k-per-week 26-year-old

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that their side will be able to hold on to Eden Hazard this summer…

The Belgian has been one of Chelsea’s most important players this year, proving vital to Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, with the Blues currently embarking on a remarkable turnaround in the English top flight.

There was serious concern, then, when MARCA began to run reports linking the attacker with a move to Real Madrid – with the Spanish outfit reportedly keen.

In truth, many in the pub thought that the move would be catastrophic for the Blues, and it appears as though the club are of a siimilar position. Indeed, it appears as though Conte and co are ready to take drastic measures to keep Hazard at the club.

According to the Sun, Chelsea are set to hold contract talks with Eden Hazard next month – with a reported weekly salary of a whopping £300,000-per-week set to be offered to the attacker.

Indeed, this would be a huge increase for Hazard, who reportedly already earns £200k-per-week, but such is the Belgian’s influence on this side. With 11 goals and 4 assists already secured this season, the 26-year-old could be named Chelsea’s Player of the Year at the end of the season, and that would certainly be a deserved award.

Our landlord thinks that the front three of Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Pedro is the Premier League’s best.
