Chelsea set to sell star midfielder if offered the right price

OscarChelsea fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern have somewhat mixed views on what they have just read in the Express, with the publication claiming that Chelsea are looking to sell Oscar if they are to receive a £25m offer from Juventus, after declining a £19.8m bid.

The Chelsea midfielder has recently emerged as one of Juventus’ top-priority targets this summer, but will only leave Stamford Bridge if it’s for the right price.

Chelsea paid £25m to bring Oscar to London from former club Internacional in 2012, and Blues boss Jose Mourinho is suggested to be looking to recoup the full amount.

The Italian giants already have a few new signings to the likes of Sami Khedira, Roberto Pereyra and Mario Mandzukic, but are touted to be looking for a new attacking midfielder and Oscar fits the bill perfectly.

It is still unclear whether the Serie A champions will accept Chelsea’s demands, with Real Madrid’s Isco also of interest to Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri.

Chelsea fans over by the pool table here in the Transfer Tavern have seriously mixed views, and are debating the deal – half of them feel he still has a future at Stamford Bridge, whilst the other half feel his time is up at the club!
