Chelsea look like they will be well within the conversation for Champions League football come the end of the season after an impressive enough opening few months of the season.
The Blues have been, at times, playing some excellent football, and new manager Mauro Sarri deserves some credit for being able to implement his style of play on the Chelsea squad in such a short space of time.
The Italian manager will be keen to keep seeing his team improve, and with the January window now in full swing, he will be hoping deep down that his board take action and supply him with one or two quality additions for the rest of the season.
Central midfield is an area which could well do with improving in the long and short term, and one player we think the Blues should move for is Brazilian midfielder, Allan.
The Napoli star has been a mainstay in the midfield for the Italians for a number of seasons now, and Sarri will know him well from his time in Naples previously.
Pairing the midfielder with the already brilliant Jorginho in the middle of the park for Chelsea might well be a solid move for the club, and give them a foundation for success for the rest of the season and beyond.
Valued at some £50m by Transfermarkt, the Brazilian is a class act and at 27, would surely relish the chance of moving to the Premier League.
Tough tackling, good with the ball, and full of energy in the middle, Allan would prove to be a superb signing for Chelsea if they could pull it off.
Blues fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
