Chelsea signing ex-Manchester City goalkeeper would represent solid signing

The Chelsea supporters are looking forward to next season here in the Football Transfer Tavern with the landlord planning some exciting things for all of his loyal regulars during the forthcoming campaign.

The Blues romped to the Premier League title during 2016/17 and with the Champions League back on the agenda next season their supporters are eagerly anticipating the start of the 2017/18 campaign.

Italian boss Antonio Conte has been a shrewd appointments by the Chelsea hierarchy and his passion and determination to succeed make him an impressive manager for the Barclays Premier League.

Chelsea will need some reinforcements during the summer if they are to compete with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City who are expected to splash the cash at a considerable rate during the transfer window.

The Blues, however, might look to add substance to their squad rather than first-team regulars and a backup goalkeeper is bound to be right at the very top of the list of targets.

Newspaper reports have linked former Manchester City stopper Willy Caballero with a move to Stamford Bridge and he could represent a really solid signing.

Some City fans here in the Tavern were pretty disappointed when the Argentinean custodian departed during the summer and they feel that his arrival could be a good one for the club.

One Chelsea fan is equally excited about the signing, stating that although the veteran isn’t a spectacular signing he does feel that he will be more than good enough backup for Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea fans, would you welcome Caballero to the Bridge? Let us know in the comments below!!!
