Chelsea star all but confirms summer Stamford Bridge departure

4300130 (1)Chelsea fans are looking more than a little bit interested at the latest claim coming from the Daily Mail here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

This is after the publication notes that one of their forwards is eyeing an Italian adventure.

Demba Ba looks certain to be on his way out of the club in the summer and as our punters note, that will be no great loss for the Blues.

Ba has failed to shine since making the move to West London from Newcastle United and under Jose Mourinho has become a squad player at best.

The Senegalese forward was asked about his future and noted that he fancied experiencing something a little bit different.

He claimed: “My agent has spoken to the club about a departure and he has started speaking with other clubs about a contract next season.

“I hope we can find the best option possible. I’d like to stay in England. I like other  leagues, too. I’d like to try the Italian league.

“Nothing’s been confirmed but there are a few teams in Italy who play very good football.”

Of course, that all but confirms a departure for Ba in the summer, and our punters are wondering exactly who would be keen on landing the former West Ham United forward.

Chelsea meanwhile simply have to buy another forward and Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa is heading that list at the minute. Second choice Edinson Cavani is not too shoddy either!

Do you think that Ba could find a Premier League club to take him when he leaves Stamford Bridge? Let us know your thoughts below.
