Chelsea fans are not at all surprised by the latest claim from GiveMeSport here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they feel Kevin de Bruyne is now finally set for his Bundesliga move.
The Belgian international has spent the season on loan at Werder Bremen and been nothing but impressive during that time. Now it seems that a permanent move to the German top flight is on the cards but not to the club that Chelsea ideally wanted to sign him up with.
The West London club initially wanted de Bruyne to be sold to Bayer Leverkusen who would have then been used as part exchange in any deal involving Andre Schurrle. The player himself however is set against moving to Leverkusen and is pushing for a move to Champions League runners-up Borussia Dortmund and now it seems that the club are looking at the 15 million euro rated player as a replacement for Mario Gotze who has of course just signed for Bayern Munich.
Chelsea are seemingly set on selling de Bruyne and despite the player receiving positive reviews from the Blues and indeed the press who have seen him this season, they are unwilling to keep him on when an offer of 15 million euros is on the table. They will however push for the young star to join Leverkusen in order to capitalise on their Andre Schurrle interests.
Will de Bruyne end up at Dortmund or Leverkusen? Let us know your thoughts below.
