Chelsea supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern have mixed feelings about the news coming in from BBC Sport who claim Andre Schurrle has agreed a return to Germany with Wolfsburg.
The former Bayer Leverkusen forward has scored some important goals during his 18 months at Stamford Bridge and showed what he is capable of with some vital goals and assists from the bench as Germany won the World Cup in Brazil last summer.
Chelsea are on the verge of signing Colombian international Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina for £23.3 million with the Fiorentina winger having already agreed personal terms at Stamford Bridge.
That would see Schurrle fall further down the pecking order and personal terms with the Bundesliga club have been agreed.
Mohamed Salah is another winger who looks to be on his way out of West London with the Blues finalising a deal that would see the Egyptian move to Fiorentina on loan, with Cuadrado moving the other way.
Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella said: “It was a sale that had to be done. The club has done the right thing because we are also getting a very good player.
“Naturally, we need to understand how long Salah will need to adapt to our football as it’s different from the English and Swiss leagues.
“From a defensive standpoint, Cuadrado guarantees us a lot more than Salah. I’m happy for him because he is going to a big club.”
Chelsea fans, do you think swapping Cuadrado for Schurrle and Salah is good business? Let us know your thoughts below.
