Metro claim that Chelsea outcast Kevin De Bruyne could well be set to leave the club for Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
The Belgian midfielder has been on the edges of the Chelsea side this term and has been attracting interest from a host of other teams, yet it seems to be Wolfsburg who are the main contenders for the player.
“Kevin is relaxed about the situation,’ said Wolfsburg chief Klaus Allofs.
“It has become more clear that the player wishes to join Wolfsburg. We must now find an agreement with Chelsea.
“We also talked about this topic with the [rest of the] team. If we are successful, this is not a decision against any of our current players. We are very strong even without De Bruyne.”
Chelsea are willing to allow him to leave for a handsome fee and as our landlord notes, they have more than enough cover in midfield to enable them to do this.
Not only that, but the money they get for De Bruyne will be used for the most important thing of all – getting a forward into the club, although it is believed that Jose Mourinho is holding out for Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney in the summer, according to The Telegraph.
Over a pint, our Blues fans in the tavern make it clear that they are not sorry to see De Bruyne leave but are concerned it is day ten of the window and no forward has been seen as yet!
Will De Bruyne be that much of a loss to Chelsea if he completes his switch to Wolfsburg? Let us know your thoughts below.
