Chelsea star doesn’t want Stamford Bridge exit this summer

Romelu LukakuChelsea fans are looking up at the latest claim from the Daily Mail here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

According to the publication, Romelu Lukaku is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge next season despite not receiving assurances of where his future lies.

One of our punters makes the point that Jose Mourinho does not seem keen on the forward who again scored a wonder goal for Belgium in their World Cup warm up match against Sweden.

However, given the lack of movement at Stamford Bridge this summer so far, not to mention a hold up in the deal to officially sign Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa, the Chelsea boss may change his mind.

Lukaku of course spent a successful period on loan at Everton scoring 15 goals and most Chelsea fans in the tavern would be pleased to see him back at his parent club

A resident Chelsea fanatic reassures other punters that those goals that he scores will be cherished after the Blues’ struggles in front of the net last term!

The forward spoke about his future and noted: “You know, I still have a two-year contract at the biggest club in England, because that’s Chelsea. So I still hope to play there. Chelsea have a good coach.”

Over a pint, our landlord notes that a good World Cup will see the player’s stock rise even higher and Chelsea may well capitalise if they can get an offer of around £25 million for the young star.

Chelsea fans. Do you think that bringing Lukaku back to the club is  good idea or does Jose Mourinho want to bring in a different type of forward? Let us know your thoughts below.
