Chelsea star has two-year deal on the table elsewhere

Ashley ColeChelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are getting ready to wave goodbye to long standing left back Ashley Cole.

And The Express reckon the former Arsenal defender has a two-year deal on the table from French money-bags outfit Monaco.

Cole has been a bit-part player at Stamford Bridge this season having lost his place to Spanish international Cesar Azpilicueta.

It’s been a spell on the bench that could potentially end his dream of going to the World Cup with Luke Shaw emerging as England’s best left back and Leighton Baines likely to go in reserve.

It now seems that Monaco, who can offer Champions League football next term, want the defender to join their ranks.

The Express understands that approaches from the French club have already been made and the player is aware of the interest.

They would also be prepared to match the defender’s £120,000-a-week wages at Stamford Bridge and it could prove a lucrative pay day for him due to tax laws.

The Principality-based club pay no income tax on earnings which is one of the main reasons they managed to lure Radamel Falcao to the club.

But it is rumoured that Cole also has deals on the table from Major League Soccer outfit New York Red Bulls.

Chelsea fans. Should Ashley Cole be given another deal or is his time at the club up? Let us know your thoughts below.
