The Daily Express seem to think that Chelsea fans need to be kept on their toes here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that the Blues are about to let Andre Schurrle leave the club.
The German international forward has been linked with Bundesliga club Wolfsburg in recent days and now it seems that the player himself is resigned to a life away from West London.
This is after Schurrle made it clear to senior players that he will be leaving and attempting to find first team football – something he certainly has not managed to do at Stamford Bridge.
After an excellent start to life at the club, Jose Mourinho has decided to cut his losses when it comes to the 24-year-old.
As our landlord notes over by the bar, the Blues need to sell before they can buy and a one in, one out policy could well be on the cards this winter with several targets thought to be on the radar of the Blues including Shakhtar Donetsk’s Douglas Costa and Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado.
Chelsea fans. Would you feel regretful if Andre Schurrle was allowed a January departure from Stamford Bridge? Let us know your thoughts below.
